Zilele Muzeului Satului 16 – 20 Mai

Muzeul Național al Satului „Dimitrie Gusti” împlinește 82 de ani. Acest proiect sociologic este strâns legat de ceea ce a reușit poporul român să arate întregii lumi în timpul Marelui Război, dar mai ales să realizeze prin actul Unirii de la 1 decembrie 1918. Acum 100 de ani, Asociația pentru Studiul și Reforma Socială își propunea „studierea problemelor impuse de necesitatea refacerii întregii vieți sociale a României, găsirea soluțiilor pentru reforma socială și educația socială a maselor”. Așa a început acest proiect muzeal. El se datorează Catedrei de Sociologie a Universității București, condusă de profesorul Dimitrie Gusti, care, alături de studenții săi și împreună cu mari specialiști în domeniu, a realizat cercetări monografice în toate regiunile țării. Rezultatul? Muzeul Satului Românesc, unul dintre cele mai importante obiective de patrimoniu mondial și printre cele mai vechi muzee etnografice în aer liber din România și din lume, despre care Henri H. Stahl spunea că este „una dintre cele mai mari mândrii ale neamului românesc”.

„Pentru poporul român el reprezintă arhivă documentară a vieții țăranului român. Din toate punctele de vedere este un document cu atât mai mult cu cât astăzi nu mai găsești pe teren lucrurile pe care le vezi aici”, declara academicianul Georgeta Stoica, fost director al Muzeului Național al Satului.

„Suntem o instituţie care conservă, în primul rând, identitatea. Această importanţă a noastră este dată de faptul că noi conservăm ce este mai profund în România – identitatea culturală şi naţională. Muzeul Satului nu este o instituţie moartă, ci una vie”, mărturiseşte conf. univ. dr. Paula Popoiu, managerul Muzeului Naţional al Satului „Dimitrie Gusti”.

Anul acesta, mai mult că oricând, evenimentele dedicate aniversării muzeului ne vor aminti de acest veac de frumusețe al poporului român. Timp de 5 zile, între 16 și 20 mai, Muzeul Satului organizează expoziții, concerte, lansări de carte, dezbateri, demonstrații ale meșterilor populari.
