Microsoft a anunţat, joi, va comercializa noul sistem de operare Windows 7 pentru utilizatori individuali la un preţ de 119,99 dolari, cu 8% mai mic decât cel al Vista, de 129,99 dolari, întrucât criza economică afectează cheltuielile în domeniul tehnologic.

Cel mai mare producător de software din lume a precizat că noul sistem de operare va fi disponibil, pentru utilizatorii unui program Windows, la un preţ de 49,99 de dolari în Statele Unite, începând de vineri şi până la 11 iulie. După încheierea perioadei promoţionale, preţul pentru versiunea Home Premium a Windows 7 va reveni la 119,99 dolari. Preţul de lansare al Vista a fost de 159,99 de dolari la începutul anului 2007.
