“Căruţa cu paiaţe”, amplasata la Universitate

“Căruţa cu paiaţe”, monument dedicat scriitorului Ion Luca Caragiale, va fi amplasată în faţa Teatrului Naţional din Bucureşti în mai puţin de două luni.

Grupul statuar, creat de sculptorul Ioan Bolborea şi format din 16 personaje ale lui Caragiale, ar fi trebuit să troneze în Piaţa Universităţii încă din toamna anului trecut, însă a fost amânat din cauza unor conflicte avute cu reprezentanţii de la parcarea Hotelului Intercontinental. Mai precis, locul pe care va fi aşezat monumentul se află chiar deasupra parcării hotelului, prin urmare proiectul sculptorului Bolborea a avut nevoie de câteva modificări. Odată refăcut planul, un alt impediment care a întârziat montarea sculpturilor la începutul acestui an a fost zăpada.

Ansamblul monumental este unicul de acest gen din ţară, având în vedere concepţia lui şi dimensiunile. “Căruţa cu paiaţe” va ocupa o suprafaţă de 10/7 m, are în jur de 8 m înălţime, cântăreşte aproximativ 25 de tone şi a costat un milion şi jumătate de euro, bani suportaţi de Primăria Generală şi de Ministerul Culturii.
