Reunind lucrări semnate de 13 artiști contemporani, Privim carierul își propune să aducă în fața publicului imaginea orașului la periferie. Sunt valorificate cât mai multe dintre aspectele specifice cartierelor muncitorești, de la reprezentări obiective ale realităţii de aici sau stereotipuri deja foarte prezente în mentalul colectiv, la imagini relevante prin prisma istoriei personale a artistului.

Uneori, vizitatorul întâlneşte noi moduri de raportare la mediul urban şi inspirat de ipostazele cotidiene [re]valorizate de artişti, este îndemnat să descopere într-o altă lumină cartierul său binecunoscut. Alteori, se confruntă cu diverse mituri şi prejudecăţi despre locuitorul periferiei, pe care le poate interoga sau descoperă pur şi simplu un spaţiu lejer şi familiar, în care se poate simţi.. la el în cartier.
