Televiziunea Română difuzează începând de luni competiţia fotbalistică UEFA Champions League, pentru prima dată toate partidele urmând să fie produse în format High Definition.
Transmisiunile programate să se desfăşoare în exclusivitate la TVR până în 2012 sunt marcate de numeroase premiere atât pe parte editorială, cât şi tehnică.
Astfel, pentru prima dată, toate partidele vor fi produse în format HD, Televiziunea Română asigurând acest lucru cu un car special închiriat din Germania.
O altă premieră a acestei ediţii sunt partidele din play off, ce vor fi difuzate la TVR 1 în zilele de 18 – 19 şi 25 – 26 august, având în prim-plan încercarea echipei FC Timişoara de a ajunge în grupele UEFA Champions League alături de campioana ţării, Unirea Urziceni. Toate transmisiunile vor putea fi urmărite live atât pe micile ecrane, cât şi pe site-ul www.tvr.ro. (mediafax)
